Biography
Joël is a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group and focuses his practice primarily on commercial litigation, insolvency, and restructuring. He has extensive experience in all types of injunctions, including Anton Piller, Norwich, and Mareva orders, particularly in cases involving breaches of non-solicitation and non-competition clauses, as well as misappropriation of personal information and confidential data. He also frequently acts as an independent supervising attorney in the context of enforcing Anton Piller orders.
Joël is called upon to assist his clients in various industries, from the development of strategic advice to representation before all Quebec courts, including the Court of Appeal, as well as in arbitration matters.
He is regularly called upon to act in the context of shareholder disputes, transactional disputes, as well as regulatory investigations and governance issues. His practice leads him to represent both large private and institutional companies, particularly in the financial, technology, and construction sectors.
