Biography
Catherine Fortin-Laurin is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, where she focuses her practice primarily on civil and commercial litigation. She advises and represents clients in commercial disputes, particularly those related to construction, shareholder disputes, insurance, and class actions. She also has extensive experience with injunctions of all kinds, including Anton Piller orders, and regularly acts as an independent supervising lawyer to ensure the enforcement of these orders.
She assists her clients by offering strategic support and representation before all Quebec courts, including the Court of Appeal, as well as in arbitration. Active in the business community, she has also given numerous lectures on insurance law, liability, real estate law, and construction law to various professionals, including real estate brokers and claims adjusters.
Pragmatic and detail-oriented, Catherine stands out for her ability to develop creative solutions tailored to the unique needs of her clients, contributing to effective and strategic dispute resolution.
